Entering a horse in the NRHA Futurity is easy. Here’s a step-by-step guide.
Before you begin…
For a horse to be eligible to show in the NRHA Futurity and Derby, they must first be nominated into the NRHA Nomination Program. When your horse is nominated, you will also get its NRHA Competition License.

What to send when entering the NRHA Futurity:
When you are ready to enter the NRHA Futurity, there are some papers/forms that you will need to have on hand.
- Copy of the Horse’s NRHA Competition License
- Copy of the Horse’s Breed Registration Papers (if applicable)
- Completed Entry Form
- Check or Credit Card
Entry and Credit Card forms can be found at https://nrhafuturity.com/forms. There, you will have the option of using the online form or printing a hard copy and submitting by mail, fax or email. To use the online form, simply click on the link, fill out all required fields, and click the submit button.

Remember to include a check or credit card form as well as all the above-listed documents when submitting your entry. You will also want to be sure to provide a good email address with your entry because we will send an emailed invoice to remind you of all subsequent payments.
After the Entry form, documents, and first payment have been submitted, you can check online at nrhafuturity.com to see that your entry has been received. You will be emailed an invoice approximately two weeks before each due date for the following four payments. Those Can either be made online, sent by mail, faxed, emailed, or you can call in with a credit card. It is not necessary to send another entry
form with each subsequent payment. If entering and sending a check separately, the check must be RECEIVED no later than 7 days after the payment due date.

Before or with the last payment, you will need to submit a Rider Designation form, a signed waiver, and provide the NRHA License numbers of the horse’s owner and rider. The Stall Reservation form is due on or before November 5.
